The Olvera Street Merchants will present “Fiesta de la Candelaria” which is a traditional even that takes place 40 days after Christmas and marks the end of the season.

Everyone is invited to enoy live music on the Avila Adobe starting at 6:30pm and join the procession beginning at 7pm.  Participants are also encouraged to bring an elaborately dressed doll (El Nino Bueno) to be blessed in the Plaza Kiosko.

The historic Italian Hall Foundation and El Pueblo Historical Monument present a discussion of the book, “Italy’s Jews from Emanicipation to Fascism” by Dr. Shira Klein.  Registration begins at 10:30am
